Trust me to be the kid in the class who can't do it right. I downloaded from that new mplayer link and it seemed to find its way automatically into local/usr/bin (joining my lame file).
Checking other radio streams and it all works and in stereo. ALIEN BBC though now won't connect. Watching the right hand pane in SC7 the timer goes to about 8 seconds and then back to 0 without connecting. I've looked for a option to lengthen the time that it tries to connect - I remember one in 6.5 - but can't find one. BBC works through Staff Picks and Adam and Joe on BBC6 is in glorious stereo. Any ideas why Alien is not now happy?
