I guess that you could use two players on the server to play each track and then use the wav plugin to grab the output from the windows mixer.
If one of the players was softsqueeze playing the music and say winamp playing the background then you could control what softsqueeze was playing. Or even using two softsqueeze on the same box. Something like the shadow plugin could let you control it from another player or just use the web interface.
