As a newbie to the world of Squeeze, I was wondering if there is
something that identifies duplicates of songs in your library and then
avoids playing them during a session.
To explain, we now have all these best of/collections/anthologies/box
sets being released that are essentially repackaged versions of songs
from other albums. So if I choose to play "All Songs" for an artist, I
can have multiple copies of the same somg play during one session. So,
is there any way to avoid this?
I was thinking that something like MusicIP or RemovePlay could do a
review of a Playlist and identify the dupes and ask you if you want to
eliminate such dupes.
Also, for efficiency, one may want to delete these from their library
(no need for multiple files of the same song unless you are a purist
and want each album intact).
Does anyone else see a need for something like this and is there
currently a way to identify these efficiently?
Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
