Hi there,

Thanks for keeping up with my lack of manual reading ;-) Anyway, I
belive that you as a UI designer will have to make things so simple to
use that people can do it intuitively, not through unrealistic
requirements of manual reading (or FAQ's for that sake). This is the
only thing I really remember from my Human-Machine-interaction course
at the Tech. University, some years back (it was Win 98 at that
time...).

Regarding your 5-step play thing, it does not really seem intuitive,
but perhaps it works. Can you clarify (I am away from my SB currently):
Will pressing "Add all" add the songs to the current playlist and then

a) Switch to start playing the first song of the added stuff
b) keep shuffling only among the stuff just added

The above describes the standard "Play button" behaviour in other
skins, when pressing the Play buttom next to an artist name. If I wish
to add them to the currently playing playlist without disturbing the
curent track I would press "add" instead of play.

If I could choose two buttons, I'd choose as follows:

a) "Add to current playlist w/o disturbing current playback" (the
current button, I suspect)
b) "Play whatever is selected" - that be, everything from that artist,
everything from the current search (!!), song X from the current
search, everything from this album etc. Replacing the current playlist
with everything covered by what I press "play" for (standard SB
interface behaviour + standard skin behaviour)

And then I'd like the MusicIP Mix button on the "Currently Playing"
track screen. I can live without it anywhere else.

If I could choose three, I'd go for having

a) Add
b) Play
c) Mix from CustomBrowse ;-)

Would a simple solution be to make make it possible to set in the
settings which buttons I wish to have available, and then make the
default fit Pippins favorite way (that is, only the Add button)? Then I
can add what I wish for, and see if my wife will accept the new remote,
so I can throw the old one out :-)

Regarding the "hidden functionality". Damn....gotta find it w/o manual
reading ;-) I at least found the way to swap tracks in the "now
playing-tracklist-window". That works until drag'n'drop becomes an
option.

Keep up the good work
