OK, I'll mention it on the main forum. I don't like actually posting a
bug report unless I have confirmation from others that it is not user
error.

I wondered about that. In fact I only used two slashes, and it worked
ok, but perhaps that was why it was particularly slow.

Yes, putting things in the wiki entry seems a good idea. But include a
mention, both on the main AlienBBC page, and the FAQ page (if you keep
it) referring people to the wiki.
