I've been working for a little while on a native PocketPC remote control
application for SlimServer 6.5 (and probably 7.0). I'm writing it for
the Dell Axim x51v although it should work on other PocketPCs as long
as they are running WM5 and have a VGA screen. Its aimed at people who
want a fast remote but are running SlimServer on a slow PC (or NAS). It
uses the CLI rather than the web interface.

I finally have a release that is vaguely functional. So far only the
music library and basic play controls work.

Getting it working is a bit of a hassle. I will improve on this in the
future but I just wanted to get something working. I will probably
integrate the database tool but I don't have a MySQL connector for
PocketPC at the moment.

This is the PocketPC application:

This database tool runs on Windows XP and downloads the music library
and artwork:

This is an empty database (basically just a few images you will need
that aren't created by the database tool):

This is a sample database (in case you can't get the database tool to
work but still want to try the PocketPC application):

This screenshot shows what your finished database directory should look
like:

This screenshot shows how to use CeRegEditor to set up the registry:
