This is more or less true. Up to now my assumption was that - this being ALBUM art - an album should have the same cover art for all tracks. So I do generally prefer to use the album_id instead of the track_id to load album art unless stated differently in item.coverThumb. This is mainly to avoid having iPeng load the same artwork file several times due to different naming. This looks to me as if item.album contains a hash for MusicIP (what it does not do for all of the standard views).
