It took a while for me to figure this all out so I figured I'd save someone some time and grief. This Plugin is excellent when it works. Apologies if this was already posted somewhere else. This is for W2K3 Server SP2.
1. After you unzip into the SC7 Plugins dir, restart your service. 2. Enter Sirius account and pswd. 3. Download and unzip the lame.exe binary for Windows; I chose http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php. 4. Copy the lame.exe binary from where you unzipped it to C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread; you don't need all the other files included with the lame binary. 5. Go to SC7 Settings, Advanced, File Types, and change Windows Media - MP3 from disabled to wmadec/lame. Apply settings. 6. Restart the SC7 service if necessary. 7.
