I was careful to install the plugins before I started the squeezecenter setup. But I guess that the rpm turned it on, so that it did not see the plugins until I restarted it. I would suggest that the install procedure tell the user to restart the server if he installed any plugins, and that the first db scan would be after the restart somehow.
