This is definitely still in alpha but the new version has some major improvements.
Its now totally self-contained. Just download the CAB file to your PocketPC and install it. You'll get a new shortcut called "Pocket Squeeze" under Programs. Run it and you'll be prompted for your server details. Ignore the "Connect" button - this will test the various connections and get the list of players but its not implemented yet. You'll have to enter the player manually in the next dialog. Finally you have to enter the folder to store the local database. The "Browse..." button doesn't work yet and the folder must also already exist. The "Clear" button deletes everything (including artwork) in your local database. The "Scan" button creates a new local database. Existing artwork is not deleted and only missing artwork is downloaded but the rest of the database is re-built from scratch. It should take about 30 seconds to re-build the library and then several minutes to download the artwork. These 3 dialogs come up every time you start Pocket Squeeze at the moment but you can just "ok" them. The user interface can then be controlled using the keypad or the touch screen. Notes: 1) You'll have to use one of your shortcut keys to switch to another application and use the Memory tool to stop Pocket Squeeze. 2) This application will only work on VGA screens! 3) Many features are un-implemented. e.g. Now playing, Music services, Search, etc. 4) I'll be needing some images for buttons.
