While I was never able to reproduce the failure after a reboot, I added service_slimserver_stop.php to the latest SlimNAS 0.999 - thanks for the patch! Further changes include addition of the mac binary (APE decoder) and using some absolute paths to FreeNAS' binaries. Please give it yet another try...
