I have a problem with SoftSqueeze... SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0.1 - 19705 @ Wed May 14 19:42:26 PDT 2008 - Mac OS X 10.5.2 (9C7010) - EN - utf8
Use itunes. Installed softsqueeze from squeezecenter. Itunes sounds great on my mac sound fine... My squeezebox sounds just fine. Softsqueeze sounds super scratchy with lower volume.
