I love the Dynamic Playlist/SQL Playlist plugins for the ability to do a random mix and exclude certain genres. In a lot of cases I tag my songs with multiple genres (ie Rock and Live), so this works great when I want to have a mix of rock songs, while excluding live tracks.
However, despite the fact that I use these plugins all the time I've been living with a couple of issues for a while now, so I finally decided it was time to report them. First, when I make a change to the include/exclude genres it will not immediately take effect. The only way I can get the change to take is to restart Squeezecenter. Second, after playing the random mix for a while I will start getting brief pauses (5-10 seconds) during playback. When I look at the server during these pauses I see the mysqld process taking up 90+% of the CPU. After a few seconds mysqld goes back to normal and then the squeezecenter process jumps up to around 40-50% of the CPU for a few seconds, then things return to normal and playback kicks back in.
