AlienBBC handles RealAudio, WMA (on Linux) and the BBC menus. Your AAC problem has nothing to do with AlienBBC.
Your problem is related to installation of mplayer and the AACplus related entries in custom-convert.conf and custom-types.conf. If mplayer is working usingf AlienBBC menus then it is most likely you made an error in the conf files. Double check the editing and make sure you restart SC.
