I still haven't looked at the plugin but I'd be more than disappointed
if it does anything else but send the shutdown command the normal way.
So I guess the behaviour you experience is due to a latent race
condition activated by the plugin, such as the squeezecenter server or
the network are already gone when your script tries to shut off the
squeezebox. Perhaps you want to reorder entries in the /etc/rc0.d and
/etc/rc6.d (respectively shutdown and reboot scripts) in order to send
your specific squeezebox/amp shutdown commands before squeezecenter or
the lan go away ?
