You can get back by using the "Show all" link on the top of the result list when you have reached a page that shows a result. The breadcrumb is also lost in the old layout, so this is a problem also in the other skins. However, I completely agree with you, I would really like to make the TrackStat page more similar to the standard browse pages with a breadcrumb bar at the top which makes it possible to go back to earlier browsed statistics. The problem is just that most of the browsing code underneath basically also needs a rewrite, so it's a bit of work to accomplish.
