I've also had issues with getting SC running on FreeNAS and found that some of the archives that I was downloading appeared to be corrupt when I ran Winrar on them or terminated unexpectantly. I found that version squeezecenter-7.0.1-noCPAN.tgz installed without incident whilst others would not start. Took a bit of mucking around but SC V7.0.1 is running. Now should the question is should I upgrade it to 7.1 because when i tried a fresh install of V7.1 files it did not create the perl folders
