I've just built a new FreeNAS server running version 0.686.4. I've downloaded the 3 files as mentioned at http://www.herger.net/slim/detail.php?nr=1026&kategorie=slim into a folder called slimnas in the root of the share on my server.
The 3 files are slimnas-1.1.1.tgz, slimnas-install.sh & squeezecenter-noCPAN.tgz. the files were all downloaded today & are the current verisons. When I execute the command as detailed at http://www.herger.net/slim/detail.php?nr=1026&kategorie=slim, I get the following message; $ /bin/sh /mnt/DATA2/slimnas/slimnas-install.sh Extracting Perl and supporting files... There has been a failure installing SlimNAS. I could not see any entries in the log files, although as a newbie to FreeNAS, I'm happy to concede that I may have been looking in the wrong place. The FreeNAS server is built on an Asus motherboard with a VIA chipset with a Socket 754 Sempron 3000 processor, 512 meg RAM, 2 x 750 gig SATA hard drives in a hardware RAID 1 array & boots off a USB memory stick. Any ideas or solutions?
