I recently upgraded to SqueezeCenter 7.1 (I'm using Ubuntu and the stable repository from slimdevices, and was awarded with the 7.1 when doing a long-overdue dist-upgrade the other day.)
Since then, the SqueezeScrobbler plugin have not worked. I'm not quite sure if it's related to the upgrade, it might be a change in the last.fm server as well -- the error message seem to indicate it. What happens is this: When I enter the Last.FM plugin menu on a squeezebox, the whole system just hangs. When checking on the server, the server.log is being filled with: [08-08-01 01:26:23.9238] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (679) Connecting to: http://ws.audioscrobbler .com/radio/handshake.php?version=&platform=slim&username=ihse&passwordmd5=my_secret_psw [08-08-01 01:26:24.0063] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (731) Handshake connection failed! [08-08-01 01:26:24.0180] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (670) Player: 00:04:20:07:c6:c8 [08-08-01 01:26:24.0191] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (679) Connecting to: http://ws.audioscrobbler .com/radio/handshake.php?version=&platform=slim&username=ihse&passwordmd5=my_secret_psw [08-08-01 01:26:24.1229] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (731) Handshake connection failed! [08-08-01 01:26:24.1245] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (670) Player: 00:04:20:07:c6:c8 (my real password md5 is edited out) When trying to play from the web UI, I get a message saying: "Error connecting to LastFM! Check network connection and www.Last.fm status". The server.log is still being filled with the same error, but not at the same speed. Instead I get something like: [08-08-01 01:33:01.1035] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (670) Player: 00:04:20:07:c6:c8 [08-08-01 01:33:01.1045] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (679) Connecting to: http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/radio/handshake.php?version=&platform=slim&username=ihse&passwordmd5=my_secret_psw [08-08-01 01:33:01.1915] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::getLastFMSession (731) Handshake connection failed! [08-08-01 01:33:01.1999] Plugins::SqueezeScrobbler::LastFM::handleWebIndex (218) web page refresh: 60 ... and then next retry waits 60 seconds. So, the server doesn't get stuck there at highest possible speed. I've checked the URL, it resolves properly and gives me a file like this: session=fd889a5f3f035f5e4184d7526affd213 stream_url=http://87.117.229.85:80/last.mp3?Session=fd889a5f3f035f5e4184d7526affd213 subscriber=1 framehack=0.. base_url=ws.audioscrobbler.com base_path=/radio info_message= fingerprint_upload_url=http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/fingerprint/upload.php permit_bootstrap=0 It looks kind of okay to me. But it might differ from what the SqueezeScrobbler assumes it will get. I've tried this with a) the newest SqueezeScrobbler I could find on https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=105780, which I took to be the v1.1.12.zip file. b) with the SqueezeScrobbler checked out from the CVS My SqueezeCenter identifies itself as "SqueezeCenter Version: 7.1 - 22170 @ Mon Jul 28 13:31:27 PDT 2008 - Debian - EN - utf8". I'm basically stuck here. Anyone who can help? /Magnus _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
