....but, it's the only way mine works.  I can always tell when there's
been a Windows update and my music server (used loosely) has rebooted. 
SC is in the startup folder so it's back up, but SS isn't because SC
doesn't start fast enough for SS to boot right up.  If I see SDT is
gone on my controller I know I need to go to the server (still used
loosely) and restart SS.  Works every time without fail and I've never
gotten SDT to work any other way.

Does it work for you another way?
