Thanks for the quick reply. Yesterday night I did a reinstall of both squeezecenter (7.1) as well as ipeng (05.1). I made sure nothing was left for both programs.
I did wipe out cache and the yml file, restart squeezecenter more times than I care to remember. Javascript is activated. When I initially set up squeezecenter I point the music directory; the default ipeng is automatically pointing to the same directory. I changed the directory to point to the ipeng configuration directory. Could there be some security/firewall issue? What is required for the iPod to gain access to the homeserver? A speicific user? Ports opened up? I really appreciate your help.
