The only 'problem', as such, is my lack of knowledge of the niceties of
open source licensing and etiquette. I was merely looking at iPeng as
a model for how to license a SC plugin. I noticed that you & Joerg
chose the LGPL for your license and I assume you had good reasons to do
so. (You guys strike me as deep thinkers.)

The permission issue in question here is with AdrianC, the the author
of the code of the plugin from which SrvrPowerCtrl is adapted.

PeterW was just pointing out that, since AdrianC released his under the
GPL, I really have no choice but to release my version under the GPL as
well, despite my desire to follow your lead and use the LGPL.

..which is fine by me. I'd be happy to release SrvrPowerCtrl as public
domain, if that was appropriate. I'm just trying to 'play by the rules'
here. And I have only a vague understanding of what the rules are and
how they work. I suppose it would help if I actually sat down and read
one of those licenses.
