In fact, I cancelled the synchronisation, and switched between players and this still caused the playlist to change.
I think it's because I left the left-hand browse panel on the Dynamic Playlist page, so when it refreshes the frames on the page, it fires off a new dynamic playlist. If I navigate to the home page and then switch players in the Web UI, it doesn't cause the playlist to change.
