That /usually/ indicates that the plugin has failed to load, or is not
installed correctly.

Could you turn on plugin debug logging with the "server.plugins" and
"plugin.lazysearch2" (if the latter exists - it may not if the plugin
isn't being properly found). You can find those settings on the "Server
Settings->Advanced->Loggin" screen.

Make sure you click the box at the top to save the settings, then
restart SqueezeCenter. You might then find some clues in the
SqueezeCenter log file.

Also, make sure you've installed it properly - you should have paths
like the following (on Linux):

/usr/local/squeezecenter/server/Plugins/LazySearch2
|-- HTML
| `-- EN
| `-- plugins
| `-- LazySearch2
| `-- settings
| |-- basic.html
| `-- logo.jpg
|-- INSTALL
|-- LICENSE
|-- Plugin.pm
|-- Settings.pm
|-- install.xml
`-- strings.txt

Finally - check permissions on those files. They should all be readable
by whatever user SqueezeCenter is running as.
