Erland - at a guess I would say that your plugin is generating stop and
play events, which are in turn being picked up by the alarm and
interpreted as user action that should stop the alarm (e.g. user
pressing power). I specifically check for whether an event was
initiated by random play and filter it, but I obviously can't do this
for 3rd party plugins. It's a problem we're looking at for 7.3. You
should probably subscribe to bug 9244.

To be sure what's going on, turn on player.alarmclock debugging -
you'll see straight away if the alarm is being stopped prematurely. I
haven't ever used your plugins, so this is all just guessing at the
moment.

For a temporary hack, you could consider setting the event source to
plugin.randomplay (I forget the exact string), as the random mix plugin
itself now does. This is pretty ugly, but it will probably get you
going for now at least.
