a follow up erland- by reverting to dynamic playlist 2.4 and with trackstat 2.4 it seems that all is normal again. don't know what the source of the problem was.
One request for trackstat: when I select play top rated songs from an album: I get a listing from highest rated to lowest rated. But in my thinking, top rated refers only to the highest rated and not the low rated at all.
