Sorry to pollute this forum with an OS-related question, but I wanted to give AlienBBC a go, and I simply can't get MPLAYER to run on my debian 2.6.26 machine. It just says Segmentation Fault and it's gone. I used packages (straight debian and marillat's), compiled with debian patches, and also without, I nuked the prefererences file in /etc, nothing seems to help.
So before I compile with debug symbols :( perhaps somebody used to mplayer can tell me if a headless machine, no sound card (a vague snd_dummy and pcspeakr modules), very little X11 libs should indeed be able to run mplayer ? Is there something obvious I am missing ? And in case there is a way to use AlienBBC through vlc or another alternative player, that would help, too. -- epoch1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53536 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
