Ah-ha!  If you are in the CLASSIC Interface - as I was - then there are
no CLOSE or APPLY buttons when you get down to the SETTINGS column for
any of the PlugIns!  So the work-round was to switch to DEFAULT
interface, drive down to SETTINGS for Alien PlugIn, add the IGNORE
command, and then APPLY.  By then backing out, and switching back to
CLASSIC and then driving down to the Alien SETTINGS, I now find the R3
ignore command firmly in place, and working.  But there's no way -
seemingly - of making that work via the CLASSIC interface....
