Because it works very reliably on a low-power (733MHz PIII) system - I'm a great believer in "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It".
I also much prefer the good, large VFD + dumb remote mode of use, so I'm very happy with my four SB3s, with no serious reason to buy a Duet or Boom. Having said all that, I'm thinking about a complete hardware / software server upgrade but trying to hold out for the "perfect" low energy, fanless i386 solution. DVBServer is still working well by the way, but I'm not yet fully decided whether to use this or the DVBShout / Icecast2 solution long term.
