This is odd, 0.68 and 0.69 are pretty similar when it comes to scanning.. I know there are sometimes issues when the server's doing a scan and moose is scanning the server, also if the server is connected wirelessly and drops out.. What is your server build and hardware ? You could try toggling the Fast Scan option in moose.. Fast scan uses more connections to the db, while non-fast scan uses less but keeps reconnecting, etc.. If it's still going pop, feel free to send me a moose log of the failing scan off-list and i'll see if i can sort it..
