It should be the option found when selecting "Manage header/footer
items" section in the Custom Browse settings page and then selecting
the item called "artist/Album". If you uncheck the "Play all songs in
selected album" option for this menu you should get the behavior you
like. I guest you probably like to change the same option on some of
the other menus whose name starts with "artist/".

Could be useful if you browse a menu that doesn't show all tracks on
the album (due to filtering options), in this case you could use the
"Browse by selected" mixer to show all tracks on the album..

But I agree, in most cases it's pretty useless.
You can always disable that particular mixer if you like to get rid of
it.
