Regarding the alarm bell: any chance I could see this as an enhancement for a future version of MusicInfoSCR, similar to what you have already in place for the sleep timer icon? Or is that out of scope for your plugin? Clearly, I don't have a feel for who uses your plugin or for what purposes. This is probably outside of the norm, though, since I'm using it simply because of what, arguably, is a lack of functionality in the Date/Time screensaver.
