At a guess - if you are using a digital radio you may be in the UK. If you are in the UK there is also the BBCiPlayer plugin which provides similar functionality to AlienBBC but provides access to better quality MP3 version of the programs. Also since MP3 is used - there is less load on the server (i.e. no transcoding).
