Not sure if it would strictly require a plugin, but I'm imaging that it would.
If anyone is familiar with SoundClick.com - they are like the old mp3.com. Artists can upload music and you can listen/buy. It would be cool to browse through the various charts, artists, etc. using the Squeezebox and be able to play. The music is played using some shockwave/flash player in pop-up windows in JavaScript.
