OK, I played with it a bit more.
On my SB3, I do indeed see the stream information.  If the browser view
has my SB3 selected, I can also see the stream information there.  When
I select squeezeslave or squeezeplay, I do not see the stream
information.  One exception is if I have the same sirius stream
selected on both the SB3 and the software player.
>From the squeezeplay interface, I cannot actually select a sirius
stream to play.  There doesn't seem to be a "play" button, and if I
navigate down to the particular station, clicking on the name of the
station doesn't start the stream either (though that's the way it works
from the SqueezeCenter browser interface).  I can use the browser
interface to get a stream playing on the squeezeplay player.  If I then
point my SB3 to the same stream using the web interface, my software
players seem to get the stream information.
