Thanks for your help. I wish I knew enough to make it work. I'm deciding between turning my freenas into a ubuntu machine or buying a thin client to run ubuntu/squeezecenter and pointing the squeezecenter to the files on the freenas. I have an older dell machine that I could make into the freenas instead. However, I would have to buy a sata adapter for it. Thanks.
