There are some menu template where it is possible to define that the COMMENT tag needs to contains a sub string, for example the Filtered Singles menu. It's also possible to create a virtual library with Multi Library plugin that only contains songs which have a specific sub string in the COMMENT tag. However, I think you will have a hard time to get it to work as you like with the current solution.

Let me know if you really like to use COMMENT tag and don't like the Txxxx tags and I could take a look at Custom Scan and see if it would be possible to make it handle sub parameters in COMMENT field in same way as Txxxx tags.
