Er, sounds like I didn't explain it correctly. What I meant to say is without ever restarting Squeezecenter, plugins eventually install and uninstall.
So if I delete one of my manually installed plugins, in a day or so, the plugin is gone. If I install a plugin from the extension downloader, it eventually shows up.
