To allow a 3rd party app to access the latest SqueezeCenter database
from a different machine, reading through the forums it appears that
you have to :

(1) make sure port 9092 (or whatever your port is set to) is open on
the server's firewall,

(2) unbind the database so that other machines can access it.

I have found some posts which suggests that for (2) you either:

a) Stop Squeezecenter, edit the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\prefs\server.prefs file and change
the bindAddress parameter to 0.0.0.0 (from 127.0.0.1)

AND/OR

b) edit the C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\MySQL\my.tt file and
comment out the bind-address line (prefix it with a #).

Then reboot squeezecenter. Which of these is it? Or is it both? Is it
safe to leave it in this state? Experts please advise.

NB. This is not for running moose so unbinding must be done manually.
It's for running a 3rd party app that I am writing - I just need to
give my users some sound safe advice.
