I don't think what you have used is the fullpath. I am not an OSX owner or user but I believe if you select and drag mplayer from your graphical file manager into the Terminal window - the full path of mplayer will be put on the command line. Then you will be able to add the remainder of the command "-v -bandwidth 100000000 rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk:554/radio4fmcoyopa/radio_4_fm_-_friday_1415.ra"
