It must be some kind of issue with the Synology DS207+ host, since i am also running the same version of SqueezeCenter/AlienBBC on my normal PC (to the same Squeezebox, over the same WLAN) and it all works just fine - no rebufferring.
On the advanced->network tab i have radio station buffer = 3, timoue=5 and no limit on the WMA bitstream. I tried turning the fast start off (as you suggested on a related thread) but it made no difference.
