Sorry, I hadn't checked back in this thread for awhile and didn't realize you had left me a further response.
FYI: I switched from a emitter wire with 3 heads to one with 2 heads and have not experienced a lockup problem since the switch. Now mind you, about the same time, my Squeezebox did completely pack it and I had to send it back for a warranty replacement so perhaps I had a unit with a real physical problem. I might try hooking up the 3 head emitter cable again and see if the problem comes back.
