BigTony, WaveInput is doing what it is supposed to do - relay audio exactly as from Windows mixer. This also enables user to control audio levels from PC to SC. Problem is that many PC/Laptops have cut costs and no longer have true analog controls on speaker amp and use digital control via Windows control panel.
