Purely by chance I stumbled across the Other Players plugin, and it does exactly what I want - to be able to transfer a playlist from one player to another. Many thanks to Max for writing it.
But I have one minor issue. Here's the scenario: transfer the playlist to a player which has a Squeezebox Controller connected to it. Now on the Controller, go to the Now Playing screen - all is well, the correct item is shown. But now hit the center button to view the entire playlist - what I see, rather than the playlist, is a set of spinning "wait" icons. Is this a known issue, or have I done something wrong?
