I think this is a MusicIP problem, have tried posting it on MusicIP's forums, but it seems to be stuck somewhere. Probably my mistake. I'm curious if anyone here has had a similar experience or has any suggestions.
I am running MusicIP 1.8 and SqueezeCenter 7.3.2 - 24695 headless on Ubuntu 8.04.2. I have a library of some 6,000 tracks, all but a handful of which are 44.1kHz/16bit FLACS. This setup works great, aside from the occasional hiccup with extended characters in filenames and tags. I recently added several dozen 96kHz/24bit tracks which are successfully analyzed by MusicIP, play great with SqueezeCenter, etc. What's odd is that when I try to create a mix using one of these 96/24 tracks, the resulting mix contains only two or three tracks, all of which are 96/24. Based on the genres and styles involved, the mix should be a lot larger. I've fiddled around with creating mixes based on similar genres and tracks that are 44.1/16 FLACS and the resulting mixes are repeatedly devoid of any 96/24 tracks, even though you would expect them to appear. It seems like MusicIP is treating the 96/24 tracks as a separate library from the rest of my collection. Short of transcoding all these tracks down to 44.1/16, is there any way to get MusicIP to see my collection as one library, not two? Thanks. -- phill ------------------------------------------------------------------------ phill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15233 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59422 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
