Thanks again Kesey but I think I have not explained my situation clearly enough and your recommendations, while appreciated, don't actually address my need.
I have a very clean system of tags already and have no problem choosing any one particular genre or subset thereof. What I would like to be able to do is the following. -- Navigate a library that does not have classical music listed at all. -- Navigate a library that does includes classical music only. -- (and here is the catch) Retain the ability to browse by artist, album, genre within those distinctive libraries. This is necessary due to the different naming conventions used for classical. Browsing by the artist field is not always the most logical as I might be looking for a certain composer but I might also be looking for a certain conductor or orchestra I can already easily filter my music preference by choosing to browse by Genre based on my detailed tag choices. I could even, I suppose, create a tag for all 'non-classical' music regardless of whatever genres it is tagged with. However, I am then limited to browsing by the Genre function and the default fields it uses to browse by on the screen.
