OK, you are sure you are on 1.0.5? It crashes on startup even when you have NO connection to a network. Wow. Haven't seen that on 1.0.5. How fast does it crash? Yes, you can uninstall it and re-install it with iTunes (just untick it on the "Applications" tap on the device pane and sync your phone, then select it again and sync again). Also, if you re-install it through the AppStore you will not have to pay again as long as you use the same AppStore account.
