There are a number of issues. 1. Garbled - this is invariably BBC network streams and is caused by lost packet on network - gaps in audio and garbled audio are signature symptoms of RealAudio problems when packets are lost. Can also be associated with buffering as packet loss will result in empty internal buffers. You can go onto BBC message boards and find many reports of this complaint with RealAudio streams in general. 2. Buffering - this symptom has been more prevalent in general with early versions of 7.3 as for 7.3 there was a rewrite of the streaming code which improved synchronised playing. There have been a number of fixes to code and I would advise running latest (7.3.3 nightly) to see if there is an improvement. As a test to see if possible source of proble is between server and player - you could disable AlienBBC using Flac between server and player and use MP3 instead (i.e. WebUI Settings/Filetypes disable RTSP->Flac and RTSP->Wav and make sure you have lame installed). This uses less bandwdith and also enables more audio time to be buffered. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60192 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
