Here's another nice-looking, not-yet-available product, courtesy of the slashdot rumor mill:
ht tp://i.gizmodo.com/5162584/always-innovating-touch-book-is-part+netbook-part+tablet-open-source-frankenstein 8.9", 1024x768 screen, runs Linux on ARM, not only detachable from the keyboard/base, but apparently supposed to be available for purchase without the keyboard/base. And it's touchscreen. Maybe this company will have more luck shipping actual product than GeCube and Elonex seemed to have. 'would be nice, as this looks like a more attractive product than what GeCube and Elonex had announced. (Hmm, it's designed bt Fred Bould, same guy who worked on all the Squeezeboxes starting with the Squeezebox v3/Squeezebox Classic -- ht tp://www .alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/) Somebody email me if this thing actually ships! For the impatient DIY type, that product appears to be based on a beagleboard.org motherboard. -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver ContextMenu FuzzyTime KidsPlay KitchenTimer PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SettingsManager SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46617 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
