I do use the iTunesupdate plugin also(been using it for a LONG time now), but have never had an issue with shutting down/restarting my mac. I disabled the trackstat plugin and restarted Squeezecenter and then I tried to shutdown the mac and I had no issues whatsoever. Hence I narrowed the issue to the trackstat plugin.
